At Urgently Ortho, we are reinventing how orthopedics is delivered. We are looking for both full-time and part-time X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to get in on the ground floor and to help provide superb orthopedic care to patients in San Francisco. You will be an integral part of the team, and will be involved in all aspects of the clinic from cast removal and basic splinting, capturing x-rays, taking vitals, and initial registration. We are looking for someone eager to grow with us as we scale, willing to wear multiple hats within a startup, and aspires to be a change maker with management potential. Our clinic is open 2p - 9p weekends, 10a-4p weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
  • As needed, check in patients through our iPad app and enter patient information through our Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Knowledge of anatomy to obtain x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Employees must perform dual role of Medical Assistant / X-Ray Technician
  • Positions patients and equipment for x-rays and sets appropriate exposure factors
  • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Performs basic medical assisting duties to ensure good patient flow. These include triaging and rooming patients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Required: Current limited X-Ray permit issued by the California Department of Public Health to include Extremities and Torso-skeletal(expanded scope is ideal)
  • Work Experience: 1 year preferred
  • Education: Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
