Acupuncture

Carla Chan is passionate about pain management and internal medicine.  She received her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from ACTCM and is a licensed acupuncturist in California. She discovered her interest in orthopedics and rehabilitation during her internship at CPMC Trauma and Rehabilitation Department, working with patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, complex fractures and other traumatic injuries.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in Finance from Simon Fraser University, Canada and was motivated to change her career path after she has recovered from chronic pain with collaborative treatments of acupuncture, physical therapy and orthopedic treatments.

Carla believes an integrative approach to healing. Acupuncture often works in parallel with or adjunct to western medicine to achieve results in improving mobility and reducing pain.

She is keen to help her patients through the process of getting back to doing what they love. She spends her time outside the clinic hiking, camping and traveling. She is blessed to share her craft by volunteering with Acupuncture Without Borders and Integrative Healers Action Network, where she treats fire evacuees, first responders, farm workers and low income families.
